Inspired by the visual experiences of cyber-tourism and resonating with the tradition of ceramic souvenir plates, Web Souvenirs is a collection of handmade ceramic plates—each exploring a different aspect of digital environments and raising questions about the complexities of today’s social phenomena in the digital world.
The work was commissioned for the Sixth Israeli Ceramic Art Biennale at the Eretz Israel Museum in 2011, and continued to develop as an ongoing project for several years. It has since been shown at the Ceramic Top 40 exhibition, curated by Leslie Ferrin, and in various shows in New York, Barcelona, Boston, and Kansas City.
